Graphic Designer
About the RoleWe're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to shape and maintain our brand identity through modern, innovative, and visually compelling designs. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Communications & Public Affairs and Marketing & Events teams to develop a variety of marketing and communication materials. Your work will help elevate our brand across multiple platforms, including social media, web, digital ads, emails, and printed collateral.
What You'll Do
Design and develop graphics, templates, and visual collateral to support marketing and communication efforts, including membership initiatives, events, and industry campaigns.
Create impactful visual assets for both print (e.g., brochures, fact sheets, signage) and digital (e.g., email graphics, website/landing pages, social media visuals) that align with industry standards.
Develop engaging and visually consistent social media graphics and templates for major campaigns and industry initiatives.
Create visuals that simplify complex information into clear and compelling designs.
Design layouts for print and digital publications, including brochures, reports, and fact sheets.
Develop and maintain easy-to-use design templates for use across teams.
Provide guidance on design concepts for events, campaigns, and special projects, incorporating feedback from colleagues to finalize assets.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring high-quality, error-free deliverables within tight deadlines.
Identify opportunities to enhance our visual identity and ensure brand consistency across all platforms.
Ensure all design assets adhere to accessibility standards (508 compliance).
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
5-7 years of professional design experience, preferably in a fast-paced organization or creative agency.
Advanced proficiency in design tools such as:
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD)
Canva, Figma, or Sketch
Proven ability to design across multiple platforms, including social media, print, web, and exhibits.
Strong understanding of branding principles, typography, color theory, and layout design.
Knowledge of industry trends, including print production processes and digital marketing.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
Experience designing for a trade association, nonprofit, or ad agency.
Knowledge of video editing and motion graphics tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects).
Familiarity with HTML/CSS for web design.
Understanding of audience segmentation and tailoring visuals for diverse stakeholder groups.
Salary Range: $80,000+ (based on experience).
