School Librarian Needed in Qatar
Location: Qatar

Are you a passionate and dynamic Librarian eager to inspire a love of reading and learning in students? We are looking for a dedicated Librarian to join one of Qatar’s premier international schools. As the school’s Librarian, you will play a crucial role in cultivating a rich learning environment, guiding students in research, fostering literacy, and supporting the academic growth of the school community. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the school library’s collection of books, digital resources, and other learning materials.
• Develop and implement library programs that promote literacy and a love for reading across all grade levels.
• Provide support for teachers and students with research, information literacy, and the integration of library resources into the curriculum.
• Organize and host events such as book fairs, reading challenges, and author visits to engage students in the literary world.
• Ensure the library is a welcoming and safe space for students to learn, read, and collaborate.
• Assist in selecting and purchasing new resources, ensuring the library’s offerings meet the needs of the school’s curriculum.
• Provide instruction and guidance to students on how to use library resources and conduct effective research.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into classroom lessons and academic projects.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Librarian in an educational setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with US or UK Common Core curriculum and the role of libraries in supporting academic goals.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• A passion for promoting literacy, reading, and intellectual development in students.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent knowledge of digital resources, library management systems, and modern educational tools.
