Job Description

Our client is a fast-growing publicly traded company that operates entertainment venues. They have a friendly, collaborative working environment which has contributed to stability and low turnover. Experience working for a public company is REQUIRED!

Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations for venues including overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage a team of 4 accountants.
• Review monthly financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP and the company’s accounting policy and present them to the executive team.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner to ensure accuracy of ledger.
• Manage 3rd party relationships, ensuring accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment for complex transactions.
• Monitor compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support annual budget process in cooperation with finance team and other departments.
• Assist with internal and external audits. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize financial systems, tools, and workflows.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 7-10+ years of experience in accounting/finance, with progressively increasing responsibilities.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in supporting accounting close process
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Must be deadline-focused and exhibit problem-solving skills
• Handle dynamic work environment with competing priorities
• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
