Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, such as dusting, wiping, sanitizing, sweeping, and vacuuming floors to maintain a clean and sanitary office environment.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste when needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in lounge areas, ensuring tables, chairs, furniture, and other surfaces are clean and properly arranged.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in conference rooms and break areas, ensuring tables, chairs, and other surfaces are clean and properly arranged.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in kitchens and cafe areas, ensuring tables, chairs, equipment, and other surfaces are clean and properly arranged.
  • Clean glass surfaces and office equipment, such as glass partitions, copiers, and printers.
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
  • Monitor and restock kitchen snacks and beverages and report any shortages to the supervisor.

  • Assist with setup/breakdown and arranging furniture, equipment, catering, and supplies for meetings, conferences, and other events.
  • Adhere to the company's security policies and report any suspicious activities or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
  • Collaborate with the facilities team to promptly address any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Track and manage inventory of supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Able to work in our New York City Headquarters Monday - Friday from 3 PM to midnight.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work in an office setting required.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety guidelines and procedures related to cleaning and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks and operate cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends if required.
  • Must be available to work from 5 pm to 1 am, Monday through Thursday, noon to 8 pm, on Friday.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools for record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining digital records.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt role being paid an hourly wage/40 hours a week. 

Hourly Rate: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour. 

Note: Actual salary offered may vary within this range based on  education, knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience, internal equity, and geographic location, among other factors. The actual compensation, if offered a position, will be based on these factors.
