Job Description

This position is with Healogics & Med Star St Mary's Hospital. We are looking to add a PRN Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to our program 4 days/week. Gap and PTO coverage is also available.

We offer Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy training. The Wound Care Center is an Academic Affiliated program.

You must have 2+ years of NP experience in a procedural environment (i.e. urgent care, wound care, specialist medical office). We may be able to substitute similar RN experience in lieu.

Scope of Practice Includes:

• Performing assessment, debridement, wound dressings, skin substitutes and hyperbaric oxygen treatment.
• Treatment of an average of 10-15 patients per day, with a majority of wound care and less than 5% Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (patient volume varies).
  
• Our clinic is generally open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm- 40 hours a week.
• Full Team- Case Manager, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurses, Office Manager, Front end and back end support. Great Work Flow!
• Treatment of Adult and Geriatric patients
• Compensation - base salary with bonus plan in place

Wound Care Nurse Practitioner and Experience Requirements:

• Nurse Practitioner license
• MSN, Board certified
  
• DEA License

The hourly rate for Nurse Practitioners is $55-60, with a guaranteed 8-hour workday.
