Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Remote/Local – Detroit, MI

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Project Managers to support IT projects initiated through a joint venture between Ascension and Henry Ford . These projects encompass Infrastructure, Applications, EPIC EMR System, Security, and Process Governance. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complex IT projects involving multiple teams, ensuring project success.
• Oversee projects within hospitals, medical groups, or regional healthcare systems.
• Develop and refine project scope, objectives, and work plans while ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Prepare project plans covering scheduling, costs, and resource allocation.
• Facilitate and lead project meetings and cross-functional teams.
• Provide periodic project updates to hospital administration and leadership.
• Analyze client systems, procedures, and operations to identify areas for process improvement.
• Work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement new system improvements or process optimizations.
• Conduct data gathering, documentation, and workflow analysis to drive decision-making.
• Guide and mentor support staff, ensuring successful execution of operational analysis and process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, or a relevant technical/management field.
• 5+ years of IT Project Management experience.
• Strong knowledge of process governance, IT infrastructure, and application deployment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while coordinating cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
• PMP Certification (Project Management Professional).
• Prior experience as a Project Manager in the healthcare sector.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR Systems, IT Security, and Process Governance.
• Previous consulting or supervisory experience in IT or operations management.

• Excellent project planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to develop, execute, and track project milestones and deliverables.
• Experience with budget planning and resource allocation.
