We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Alarm Inspector for a permanent position within our dynamic team. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and security of our construction sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, installation, maintenance, repair, certification, and design of fire alarm systems. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of fire alarm systems to ensure they are in compliance with national and local fire codes.
  • Install new fire alarm systems as per blueprints and specifications, ensuring they meet all safety standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on fire alarm systems, including testing and repairing components, to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and resolve any issues related to fire alarm systems.
  • Certify fire alarm systems, ensuring they meet all necessary regulations and standards.
  • Design fire alarm systems for new construction projects, considering factors such as building layout, occupancy, materials, and fire risk.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inspections, installations, maintenance, repairs, and certifications.
  • Provide training and guidance on fire alarm systems to construction teams.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in fire alarm technology and safety regulations.
Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 years of experience in fire inspection, fire alarm system inspection, installation, maintenance, repair, certification, and design.
  • A strong understanding of national and local fire codes.
  • Proven ability to install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues with fire alarm systems.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm design principles and the ability to design systems for a variety of construction projects.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and explanations to construction teams.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all work performed.
  • A commitment to staying updated on the latest advancements in fire alarm technology and safety regulations.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy equipment and working at heights.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various construction sites as needed.
