Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the High-Speed Rail Authority’s (Authority) Director of Environmental Services, and in coordination with the Design and Construction Managers, the Environmental Program Manager (EPM) I (Managerial) will perform the role of program-wide Environmental Compliance Manager and be responsible for overseeing implementation of environmental commitments on construction projects through close coordination with construction staff. The EPM I, Environmental Compliance Manager will establish solid working relationships with Construction Managers, Project Managers, Area Construction Engineers, Project Construction Management staff (PCM), Construction Inspectors, and construction contractors to encourage and assist with environmental quality. This requires extensive travel throughout the state, and coordination with Authority staff, construction management staff, resource agencies, local governments, the public, construction contractors, and other interested parties. The incumbent is expected to manage multiple assignments including assigned contracts, work independently, and produce completed staff work.

A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required and must be included. An SOQ is a narrative that describes your qualifications for this position. The SOQ must be no more than four (4) pages, single-spaced, with one-inch margins, in 12-point font, organized and numbered as reflected below.
