Serves as an active business partner with Mary Kay leadership, Human Resources, and Hiring Managers to anticipate and understand staffing needs for the Mary Kay Internship Program and corporate positions as assigned. Helps create a recruiting strategy for sourcing top talent across assigned divisions. Responsible for full life-cycle of recruitment including sourcing, recruiting, evaluating candidates, advising managers on hiring process and decisions, and managing relocation and pre-employment process. Stays up to date on recruiting best practices, trends, and systems and makes recommendations to maintain organization attractiveness and efficiencies.

  • Manages full life-cycle Recruitment Process for assigned positions
    • Partners with Talent Acquisition team to ensure advertising of positions to attract the right candidates. Includes proactively sourcing, interviewing for position and company fit, and administering competency assessments and other applicable tests.
    • Partners with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers to establish recruiting requirements by understanding organization plans and objectives, for both current and future needs. Recommends qualified candidates to Hiring Manager and arranges interviews.
    • Ensures a positive candidate experience by conducting all communications essential for proper relationship management of candidates and Hiring Managers throughout the entire recruitment process.
    • Consults with the HR Business Partner and Hiring Manager on hiring decision and to determine offer amount by analyzing the placement within the team structure, internal team equity and the targeted compensation guidelines. Extends offers of employment and provides candidates with a solid understanding of the company structure, benefits, and culture; conducts negotiations regarding compensation as needed.
    • Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations as it pertains to the recruitment process; updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
    • Regularly evaluates and appropriately diversifies efficient and cost-effective sourcing methods. Effectively employs recruitment tools including career sites and other media, agencies, user groups, and associations to maximize efficient candidate searches.
  • Program Owner of Mary Kay’s Internship Program
    • Serves as a subject matter expert for on-campus recruiting processes and best practices. Improves organization attractiveness by recommending best practices related to campus recruiting processes, compensation practices, etc.
    • Manages full-lifecycle recruitment process for the Internship Program. Continually works to increase intern conversion into full-time positions to maximize ROI of the programs.
    • Partners with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers to establish recruiting requirements by understanding organizational plans and objectives.
    • Serves as an Employment Ambassador for the company at campus events in person and virtually.
    • Maintains rapport with potential candidates and pipelines freshman and sophomore for future intern opportunities. Maintains communication with current candidates by pre-screening applicants, scheduling interviews and answering internal and external inquires related to college recruiting.
    • Builds and maintains relationships with university career centers, professors, and student groups across campuses to increase quality of talent pool.
    • Responsible for planning and organizing all events related to the Internship program including New Intern Orientation, professional development events, the intern showcase and other intern events as needed.
    • Responsible for organizing and attending all campus career fairs and intern events; gives informational presentations to various groups as needed. In partnership with Talent Acquisition team, creates training presentations and toolkit(s) for intern Hiring Managers.
    • In partnership with the Talent Acquisition team, aligns campus recruitment strategy to corporate recruitment strategy.
    • Regularly researches campus recruitment trends and best practices through campus and association relationships; makes suggestions based on current market trends. Responsible for executing intern/campus focused employer branding and social strategy.
  • Assists with other Talent Acquisition programs and projects such as. Onboarding, Employer Branding & Advertising, and other projects.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Experience: 3+ years

Supervisory Experience: Not Applicable

Field of Experience: Applicable and demonstrated recruiting experience across multiple functions. Campus Recruiting and Intern Program experience highly preferred.

Education: Bachelor/University Degree

Education Focus: Business, Human Resources or a related field with a competent knowledge and understanding of fundamental business and human resources principles.

  • Ability to create and execute presentations to large audiences at all levels, students through executives, both virtually and in-person
  • Possesses knowledge of best recruiting strategies. Demonstrates awareness of appropriate and competitive compensation and benefits
  • Exhibits proficiency in use of Recruiting Management System, career websites and external job posting sites
  • Possesses knowledge of social recruiting strategies and use of social media
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills
  • Local/Domestic travel less than 25%
  • Hybrid: This job requires on-site work at a Mary Kay facility Monday - Thursday. Fridays can be remote.
