Job Description

DESCRIPTION

The Surface Transportation Supplier Diversity, and Inclusion team is seeking a Certification Specialist to lead the diversity certification program for Amazon's transportation network. This role is an exciting opportunity to drive our Supplier DEI initiatives forward. This position will be responsible for managing the diversity certification program in the US and Canada, including identifying eligible suppliers, validating and tracking certifications, developing reports, and leveraging analytical skills to identify and communicate certification trends and metrics. This position will also be responsible for developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to standardize the certification tracking and reporting process.

Key job responsibilities
1. Identify suppliers that are eligible for certification through surveys, ad-hoc communications, and deep dives into certification databases.
2. Provide certification information to eligible suppliers through office hours, emails, and phone calls.
3. Validate certifications against a defined set of criteria and track and store certification information in an Excel dashboard, Sharepoint, or other online tool.
4. Run queries on a monthly and ad-hoc basis for diverse spend reporting.
5. Analyze certification and diverse spend data to provide meaningful insights on spend trends by certification status.
6. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to standardize the certification tracking and reporting process.
7. Proactively identify and find solutions for gaps in current processes for certification.
8. Work with Analytics, Tech, Product, Procurement, Legal, and other Amazon Supplier Diversity teams to streamline certification processes.

About the team
The Amazon Transportation Services Supplier Diversity, and Inclusion (SDI) is responsible for developing and executing programs to drive diversification of Amazon's supply chain.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- High school or equivalent diploma
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
