Job Description
- The job is for an AWS Cloud Engineer position based in Washington, DC.
- Candidates need to be US citizens with DoD Secret security clearance.
- They must be willing to work in-person in the Washington DC-Baltimore Metro Area.
- The role requires over 7 years of hands-on experience in building AWS environments.
- The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable AWS solutions with a focus on DoD security compliance.
- They should be able to automate deployments and processes using various scripting languages and IaC frameworks.
- The role involves troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges.
- The candidate will also be expected to collaborate with diverse teams and advocate for cloud best practices and emerging tech trends.
- Responsibilities also include maintaining systems by monitoring and correcting software defects, and supporting on complex technical problems through engineering.
- The candidate should have a college degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- They must be AWS Certified and have a CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent.
- Experience with AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CDK/CloudFormation, and DevOps/CI-CD is required.
- The candidate should also have strong knowledge of AWS Landing Zone Accelerator (LZA), AWS ECS, and IL6 networking.
- Experience with Agile tools like Git, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence is also needed.
