We are seeking an experienced and driven Attorney Search Consultant to join our winning legal recruiting team. While recruiting experience is not required, a background as an attorney or legal professional is essential . This individual will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and placing highly qualified attorneys in law firm and corporate positions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for legal recruiting, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a keen understanding of the legal industry. You will play a critical role in matching top legal talent with our clients' needs, helping both attorneys and law firms achieve their career and hiring goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Sourcing & Screening: Proactively source, identify, and engage top attorney candidates using various channels, including online platforms, professional networks, and referrals.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with law firm clients and corporate legal departments to understand their hiring needs and culture.
- Candidate Evaluation & Placement: Conduct in-depth interviews with attorney candidates to evaluate their experience, skills, and career goals, ensuring they align with client needs.
- Job Matching & Presentation: Present suitable candidates to clients with detailed summaries highlighting qualifications and fit for the role; coordinate interview processes and provide feedback.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up to date on trends in the legal industry, including law firm hiring trends, compensation standards, and in-demand practice areas.
- Negotiation & Closing: Facilitate offer negotiations between candidates and clients, ensuring smooth communication and a successful placement.
- Pipeline Management & Tracking: Maintain an organized pipeline of candidates and clients through Ascension’s applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring timely follow-up and documentation of all recruiting activities.
- Business Development Support: Collaborate with the business development team to identify new client opportunities, participate in client meetings, and contribute to growth strategies.
Qualifications:
- Legal Industry Background: Must have experience as a practicing attorney or legal professional, with a strong understanding of law firm structures, attorney roles, and legal industry dynamics.
- Recruiting Experience Not Required: While experience in recruiting or talent acquisition is a plus, it is not a requirement for this role.
- Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to develop and nurture professional relationships with both candidates and clients.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present candidates to clients and manage client expectations.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruiting tools.
- Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented: Ability to work independently with a results-driven mindset and a strong desire to achieve recruiting targets and contribute to company growth.
